Guilty
Posted by Lisa Stevens on

Here is another question that has been roaming through my mind lately… What is guilt? Why do we feel guilty? Especially over things that make no sense to feel guilty over. (Kinda along the same lines as the blog I wrote about the things we feel proud about…) Do some people just feel more guilt naturally than others? Is it a personality trait or an environmental consequence? I am not talking about religious guilt…that is a whole other blog…that I cannot see writing anytime soon….so keep this in mind as I continue. Do you ever feel guilty for taking a...
Polite
Posted by Lisa Stevens on

The other night I answered the phone, it was a scammer trying to ask me questions about my account…with a company we have no account with. Hahahaha After I got off the phone, my teen looked at me and said ‘You are so polite.’ I mean, I know I am but I found it an odd time for her to point it out….so she elaborated ‘You were talking with a scammer and you said please and thank you and you would never have known it was a scam call.’ It got me thinking about it…and I guess the reason I...

What's Your Passion?
Posted by Lisa Stevens on

I was asked the other day what my passion was....that got me thinking what is a passion, does everyone have one? Do people have more than one? Can a person’s passion change as life changes? I was not sure what to answer....there is currently nothing in my life that I would say is my passion. There are things I enjoy, things I care about...but not passionate about. Is this ok? Should I have one or two? Does it give life more meaning if I do? Or are there seasons of passion and seasons of finding a passion? I know this...

Rain Drops On Roses
Posted by Lisa Stevens on

This year my teens and I started our own bullet journals...no this post is not about bullet journals.....and no, I have not been using mine...hahahaha But in preparing the pages, I was searching online and while there are a million "page" suggestions, one of them caught my eye and I decided to create it. And lo and behold, as I go to get my bullet journal, that has been sitting in a basket under an end table in the living room...you know, where it will be doing so much good. hahahaha I noticed that I indeed have not gotten around...
