The Nine Lives of Madaline Stevens

If you know us, you have heard us talk about our dog, Maddie. When they say (whoever they are...everyone I guess haha) that dogs are man's best friend, they are not kidding. This dog has been with us through the last 12 years of our lives. She has been a constant for us, even when everything else around us was changing...she was Maddie, there to comfort and rejoice with us through every stage of our lives.  She has seriously had nine lives, there have been so many times over the years that she could have died/should have....another dog might have....

Silver Linings #3

Lisa has shared two silver linings of a really, really tough year for us.  The third one is mine to share, just as the last one was hers to share.  I also this year have gone to therapy to help deal with all that has gone on in 2022.  And I have to share my open honest journey to get here without sharing details of what has gone on in 2022.  That's a story for another time when we are both ready to share. When I was younger I had a very warped view when it came to mental health.  I...

And today I am going to talk about one of those "right" things. They had been found and someone had taken them in, but her cats did not like them, so they were shut up...

You Really Know Nothing

You Really Know Nothing

I think the theme for 2022 has been "You really know nothing...and anything you think you know can change in a moment". Doesn't sound like a great year, does it? It has not been.  While there have been good things about this past year....there has also been some of the worst moments in my life. It honestly has gotten to the point of almost being comical how many things have gone "wrong" this year. I say almost....cause what else is there to do when it feels like your world if falling apart around you? You can cry (did that...didn't make me...
