Dryers on Vacation
Posted by Lisa Stevens on
This month for It's Not Easy Being Green, we are going to implement using the dryer way less and using our clothesline more. I am calling it a vacation for my dryer. It is something we have always tried to do, use the clothesline...but sometimes life gets in the way, one year our clothesline broke and we didn't get it fixed right away, another year it was a very rainy summer....which makes it very hard to use the clothesline. lol Right now, our clothesline is down (the outbuilding it was attached to is being torn down), but we are going...

My Green Thumb May Be Gangrene
Posted by Ben Stevens on
It is May and gardening centres are popping up quicker than my daughter's chickenpox. Those wonderful high school/college employees who know a tiny bit less than me about gardening, not a skill set required job for sure. Regardless though, homeowners all across the Northern Hemisphere will be breaking out the skin tight gloves, gardening tools and seeds to fancy up their yards. Thank you all for the encouraging words and prayer for my surgery. It went very well, no complications and I feel physically great! Today is 6 weeks since the surgery. Hard to believe that it is all over and I am on other side of it. It got me thinking why is a rabbit even connected to Easter. I guess it goes back to Lutherans in Germany who portrayed the rabbit as a judge of whether children were naughty or nice...wait a minute. The rabbit also brought coloured eggs, candy and sometimes toys to good little children...is this for real? The rabbit brings them in the night before Easter so when the children wake up...

My Favourite Kitchen Appliances #1 I love to bake. I would bake everyday all day, if I never had to clean it up! AND if baking that much didn't put my families health at risk...cause we do NOT need goodies and treats every day. lol Well, they think they do, but I know they do not. But when it comes to cooking....my favouite appliance to use is my Instant Pot. I know there has been a lot of hype surrounding the Instant Pot. It is considered a cult following (don't know what a cult following is....this is the official google...
