Let Me Waste Your Time For A Minute

I recently read a post of someone who said they hadn't watched any TV in like 3 months but had read 24 books.  I was like wow that's impressive and felt a little guilty that I haven't read 24 books and I have watched my fair share of TV in the last 3 months.  Then I got thinking about it and I was like I shouldn't feel guilty for my method of leisure.  I started thinking that some people watch TV, some people read, some watch lots of sports, some play music and some play video games and on the...

Oh Sweet Petrichor

Welcome Spring!  My favourite season is summer...I love the heat. I would rather be sweating on a beach, than freezing anywhere.  Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy all the season's but if I had to pick, summer is my favourite. (I am not going to go into details about why it is much needed….) But the emotional anguish it will have on me is what I will talk about.  This is the end of a chapter in my life. It is a chapter that has lasted most of my life. I am very glad it is ending….but that does not make...

It's Not Easy Being Green February 2019

Being environmentally friendly is often more about being aware of your habits and practices.  Sometimes it may not be choosing the most green option but a greener option than your current practices.  The way we heat our home is an example of this in that we utilize wood from our land to burn in a wood stove.  While it is not the most environmentally friendly method out there, it is considered carbon neutral in our situation.  The reason is because we utilize old trees that are dying or need cut down anyways so our forest stays a fully healthy forest despite...
