Life, Love, & Laundry

We live in the country, but on a busy road. It is not exactly what we were looking for in placement of our land and house. But the land and house were worth the sacrifice of living on a busy road. One memory I have from growing up was Sunday drives. We did not take them every Sunday, but I do remember taking them. One special thing we used to do was go through the MacDonalds drive through and we would each get an ice-cream and a fry. We would dip the fries in the ice-cream. To this day I can close my eyes and "taste" how refreshing that felt in the backseat squished with my sister and my brother....There was always giggling, I am sure some fighting too, but I only remember it as a pleasant experience, a fond memory. ...

I was thinking about what comforts me, not necessarily when upset, but even the little things I do during normal days, just to show myself I care....for myself. We were at an outdoor evening market some weeks ago, there was live music, it was a great atmosphere. (Outdoor evening markets are my favourite ones to attend, as a vendor and as a shopper.) It was small, but the crowd was wonderful.
