Ever After Acres, Our Home!

Ever After Acres, Our Home!

We live in the country, but on a busy road. It is not exactly what we were looking for in placement of our land and house. But the land and house were worth the sacrifice of living on a busy road. The house is far back enough that we have a good sized front yard, with a ditch to help our dogs and kids (although they are all old enough now to not go near the road) know the boundaries of the lawn.  Even the noise of the cars going by lessens the longer we live here, not because of...

Attitude of Gratitude

One memory I have from growing up was Sunday drives. We did not take them every Sunday, but I do remember taking them. One special thing we used to do was go through the MacDonalds drive through and we would each get an ice-cream and a fry. We would dip the fries in the ice-cream. Comfort In The Daily Grind

I was thinking about what comforts me, not necessarily when upset, but even the little things I do during normal days, just to show myself I care....for myself. One I am actually doing right now, as I write this and sparked the idea for this blog, is...

Is This Really Adulting?

Is This Really Adulting?

We were at an outdoor evening market some weeks ago, there was live music, it was a great atmosphere. (Outdoor evening markets are my favourite ones to attend, as a vendor and as a shopper.) It was small, but the crowd was wonderful. Everyone was kind and enjoyable to chat with.  During the live music, there was two ladies who began dancing (it actually started with one, but then another joined in....I have no idea if they were friends or it was the music that took them away), right at the front of the crowd. It was beautiful, they were...
