Oh, Canada!

Oh, Canada! Our Home and Native Land (and Where We Make All Our Stuff…Mostly)

For nine glorious years, we’ve been proudly waving the maple leaf (and occasionally apologizing for things we didn't even do) as a Canadian company, nestled in the…well, let’s just say “scenic” province of New Brunswick. From our lip balms (guaranteed to protect against even the most brutal Maritime windchill) and dryer balls (because who has time for static cling when there’s hockey to watch?) to our handcrafted soaps (so gentle, they’ll practically say “sorry” for getting you clean), we’re committed to producing quality goods right here in the Great White North. Everything we make, with the exception of our soap nuts (which, let’s be honest, sound a little nutty themselves), is proudly Made in Canada. And even those nutty soap nuts? We get them from Nepal, which, while not exactly next door, helps their economy – so we're basically international philanthropists...sort of.

Being a Canadian company is more than just where we manufacture our wares; it’s a state of mind. Having braved New Brunswick winters our entire lives, we’ve developed a thick skin. We’ve also experienced firsthand the legendary Canadian politeness. It's so ingrained in us that we once apologized to a moose for accidentally startling it. It's this very fabric of our existence that makes our work so wonderfully…Canadian.

Over the last nine years, we’ve interacted with hundreds of thousands of people, and the overwhelming majority of those interactions have been…well, polite. Like, ridiculously polite. We once had a customer apologize to us for having to return a product. In fact, we can count on one hand the number of times we’ve encountered rudeness. One time, someone didn’t say “please” when asking for a receipt. It was a national scandal. This speaks volumes about the kind and courteous nature of Canadians. It’s a testament to the values we hold dear: saying “sorry” even when it’s not our fault, holding doors open for strangers (even if they’re a block away), and a deep, abiding love for poutine.

Being a Canadian company also means upholding certain stereotypes…er, standards. We’re proud of the quality of life we enjoy here (free healthcare, anyone?), and we strive to reflect that in our business practices. From sourcing local ingredients (when we can find them under all the snow) to ensuring fair prices (so everyone can afford their own supply of maple syrup), we’re committed to doing our part to support our community and contribute to a thriving economy (as long as it doesn’t interfere with hockey season).

As we look back on the past nine years, we’re filled with gratitude for the opportunity to operate as a Canadian company. We’re thankful for the unwavering support of our community, the positive interactions with our customers, and the chance to contribute to a country we’re proud to call home (even if it does get a little chilly sometimes).
