The Things We Do For Love

A story from almost 25 years ago popped into my head this week and I got excited to share it with you cause it one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life.  It was when Lisa and I first got married, we lived with my grandfather in his upstairs apartment.  We woke every morning to the sound of that wonderful man hocking a loogie into the sink, worst alarm clock ever.  It was a place to live though and it actually was pretty great despite the unintentional morning wake up call.   Our barn red bedroom had...

Bug Off!

Yes, I am that guy.  The one who waves his arms around and screams at pitch that is only audible to dogs.  I am not the guy, like my dad, who can work outside covered in mosquitos, black flies, and any other bugs and act like this is normal.  I probably would be if it wasn't for a couple of experiences in my life that turned me off of the little tiny demons.  We also have to agree it has gotten worse lately with new insect related illnesses such as lyme disease from these ticks that keep moving further north...

The Day The Hamster Died

The Day The Hamster Died

Hurricane Dorian just passed through this past weekend and while the Bahamas were devastated and Nova Scotia incurred some damage, we simply lost a few trees and branches.  I have to say though I don't recall any storms, that were not snowstorms, that had the whole "nobody is going anywhere for the next 12-24 hours".  During the storm I had a memory of being holed up in my parents house with our kids during the ice storm back in the early 2000's.  To my recollection, it was one of the worst ice storms the Greater Moncton area had ever experienced,...
